ELEMENTAL EMOTION IDENTIFICATION

Emotions are the elements of our experience. Elemental Emotion Identification is a structured approach to understanding emotional expression and increasing emotional intelligence so that we can experience the expression of who we are accurately, appropriately, and authentically. 

I like to think of Elemid as a particle of experience that provides the elements of creation. What are we creating? Human Connection. These moments can be so brief that they only allow the space for us to wonder. So we search for the  moments that we will discover the experience of the expression of what we value. 

As most of us live now, we feel our emotions and express our thoughts, leaving us defending our thoughts while not expressing our emotions. By learning to express our emotions and  feel our thoughts, we can begin to respond more than we react, giving us the control we have been searching for.

Opportunities to connect  is all around us. How do we see it?  By taking a fundamental approach to emotions, using the connective, motivating, and expressive qualities as information, we can learn how we create compounds of experience as we seek connection. It is easy to get lost in the details on the path to connection. 

Human Connection is the gift that occurs once we have defined pieces enough to discover what they become when put together. Aristotle wrote the whole is more than the sum of its parts. We become the product of what we do with our experience. 

Yes, this is complex and simple. These ideas are thousands of years old while being contemporary. Aristotelian in concept, Gestalt is organization and Socratic in its approach. It is cognitive, theoretical, and logical. Part philosophy, psychology, and psychiatry of connection. Medicine, science, and theory. The goal is to organize and define what we have in common in the way we create and express the experiences that define who we are.
